Languages have always been a passion of mine. After studying abroad in Spain, I knew that the Spanish language and culture were something that I wanted to teach. Learning a language isn't scary! I want my students to fall in love with the Spanish language and culture just as I have, and I plan on doing this through my experiences and schooling. Learning another language can be intimidating because it is all new information. Little do people know, there are Spanish influences around us everywhere we go! There are many words, phrases, and ideals that originated in Spain and other Spanish speaking countries that we use. I hope to start the interest of my students in learning another language. ¡Vamos a aprender Español!
There are six domains and nine standards for learning a language according to the Connecticut World Language Curriculum Framework from 2005. For more information about these domains and standards, see the following file which documents the standards set by the State of Connecticut.
